Community Connections Building Fast on Fraser Coast

November 6, 2025 | IN Announcements, Vantage | BY AVID | 3 min read

A fast-growing Fraser Coast land lease community is continuing a year of significant development milestones, with the first stages of construction on its future community Clubhouse nearing completion – bringing the growing neighbourhood closer to accessing the resort-style amenities.

Since commencing construction on the first homes in the community in November 2024, less than one year ago, Vantage Hervey Bay by AVID Property Group (AVID) has welcomed 51 residents – and 16 pets – in to their new homes, with 16 more expected to join the community by Christmas.

AVID General Manager Queensland and Land Lease Communities Anthony Demiris said the steady pace of construction on the Clubhouse – designed and delivered by Australia’s largest privately-owned construction company, Hutchinson Builders – marked an exciting period ahead for the growing community.

“Upon completion the Clubhouse will be a hub for community connection, providing a central space for all residents to share in their enjoyment of these resort-style amenities,” Mr Demiris said.

“As the community has begun to grow it has been fantastic to see the connections that have already formed between new neighbours, and the new Clubhouse will only further the development of these budding friendships.

“The team at Hutchinson Builders have done a fantastic job in progressing the Clubhouse construction, ensuring the amenities our residents will soon be enjoying will be of outstanding quality.”

With the first stages of construction nearing completion, works have commenced on the structure of the Clubhouse, as well as on the swimming pool, sauna, spa, gymnasium, walking trail and landscaping reserve area.

For residents like Mark and Leonie Bearham, the Clubhouse played a large part in drawing them towards the coastal community when they decided to downsize, appealed by the idea of exclusive access to resort-style facilities designed to nurture health and wellbeing.

“What I’m most looking forward to is the swimming pool being across the road, and being able to swim every day,” Ms Bearham said.

As well as lifestyle benefits from the fitness and leisure facilities, the Clubhouse will be a central area for the neighbourhood to gather, fostering the development of community connections to assist in alleviating the feelings of isolation reported by around one in five older Australians1.

“Since coming home to Vantage, it has been wonderfully easy to make friends with likeminded people,” she said.

With an expected population shift in the coming decades to see seniors account for more than a third of the Fraser Coast population2, the Vantage Hervey Bay community will reflect the changing demographics in the region, becoming a hub of connectedness for this growing population group.
