Inclusive Culture Drives Avid’s Success Once Again

December 19, 2025 | IN Media Release and News | BY Sanjay Vivekananda | 2 min read

AVID Property Group (AVID) has again been named an Inclusive Employer by Diversity Council Australia (DCA) – a recognition that reflects the top five Australian property developer’s belief that building thriving communities starts with building a workplace where people genuinely belong.

According to The Case for Inclusion@Work 2025-2026 report, employees in inclusive teams are seven times more likely to be innovative, eight times more likely to work effectively together, and four times less likely to leave their organisation.

AVID’s workforce comprises over 37% of people who were born overseas, 37% coming from multicultural non-primary English-speaking backgrounds and more than 56% percent female representation.

AVID General Manager People & Culture Colette O’Reilly said the diverse makeup of the AVID team has delivered tangible outcomes for AVID and its customers.

“AVID is proud of our inclusive workforce, where team members bring a broad range of perspectives and skills to the table to support our vision of bringing people together,” Ms O’Reilly said.

“When our team reflects the diversity of the communities we create, we’re better equipped to deliver meaningful outcomes for our people and our customers.”

The DCA research also highlighted the link between inclusion and team performance.  Workers in inclusive teams consistently report their teams are highly effective, innovative, provide excellent customer and client service, and work particularly hard.

The research also indicates that employees in inclusive teams consistently report being highly satisfied with their job and want to stay in their organisation.

“These are tangible impacts that demonstrate that diversity and inclusion benefit our business and our people,” Ms O’Reilly said.

“This recognition validates our efforts as an employer – with research showing the direct link between inclusivity and mental health outcomes, we know that investing in our people and their wellbeing is as important as any other business priority,” Ms O’Reilly said.

AVID CEO Cameron Holt said diversity and inclusion remained central to the organisation’s continued growth and ability to innovate for its growing customer base.

“As AVID enters a new chapter of growth, we are truly pleased to be recognised by a reputable organisation like DCA for our ongoing commitment to inclusion – a commitment that will only continue to scale alongside our business,” Mr Holt said.
