Chisholm Community Spreads Spooky Spirit

In what has become an annual community favourite, Waterford by AVID Property Group (AVID) has once again welcomed visitors from across Maitland to its 6th annual Halloween extravaganza to enjoy treats, tricks and not-so-scary fun.
More than 800 residents and locals were in attendance for Spook-tacular Halloween Carnevil & Graveyard, with more than 30 kilograms of sweet treats on offer for trick or treaters young and old.
AVID General Manager NSW Danny Boubli said the event was a firm local favourite and held special significance for the community.
“Our annual Halloween extravaganza has grown into something truly amazing, it’s not every day that a regional neighbourhood event regularly draws more than 800 people,” Mr Boubli said.
“Halloween is always an evening filled with fun, but the success of the event comes from AVID’s long-standing commitment to building a connected, welcoming and thriving community here in Chisholm.”
Waterford’s Sales and Information Centre was a hub of activity, with a special visit from the Thornton Fire Department, roaming spooky characters, a ‘Thriller’ flash mob, trick or treating, creepy CarnEvil games, face painting and a haunted graveyard photo zone.
Since its launch as Harvest in 2014, Waterford has grown and evolved into a 1500 home community
reaching a milestone 4500 residents in 2025.
“AVID’s dedication to building Waterford into a standout community where people can feel truly at home has remained just as strong as we’ve grown over the past 11 years,” Mr Boubli said.
“Community is more than just holding events, there’s a conscious effort made year-round to foster an environment of belonging, neighbourly spirit and support from our on-site team.”
Waterford’s support of the Maitland region extends beyond well-attended events, with the community pledging more than $10,000 in grants to support local organisations annually, hosting mental health roundtables at the community café, The Grain Store, and championing the importance of environmental stewardship at local schools in partnership with Take 3 for the Sea.
